I am an aspiring writer, history enthusiast, and lover of the arcane and fortean from Anniston, Alabama, USA. Once I was stung by the travel bug, I was hooked and so I've travelled to many places since, seeking adventures and local experiences off the beaten path. Some of the countries I've visited include Uruguay, Turkey, Greece, Albania, Germany, Spain, Portugal and South Africa. A love for adventure and an eccentric nature have brought me to Atlas Obscura, and I look forward to it opening up more possibilities of life discoveries.
